Monday Mid-Day Funnies

I'm posting these early because I'm afraid I'll forget them before tonight. Emma saw one of our Curious George books this afternoon and this is what she said to me, "Momma, I like this monkey. I like his shows." I asked what she liked about them. Her reply was, "I like Curious George because he doesn't do the right thing! Like me!" I questioned if she meant that she liked being curious...trying new things out...investigating and being inquisitive. She replied, "Yes, and being a little bad like George!" She speaks the truth as she sees it. It is so funny living with Emma!

Story number two: We are on the way to pick up Hannah from school. I was singing a song that says, "He conquered the grave" and she asked me what that meant. We then had a discussion about Jesus and that by dying on the cross Jesus conquered the grave. He didn't stay dead, but came back to life. I asked her what that meant to her. She said that it meant she would go to heaven one day with Jesus. I then asked her how a person gets to heaven. This is the reply I got!

"First, you believe in Jesus and ask him to forgive you for the bad things you do. Then Jesus comes and gets you and takes you to heaven. Momma, does Jesus have long arms? How will he pick us all up at one time and carry us to heaven?"
