Fall 2007 Scrapbook Pages

I just finished this page and now I'm off to bed. I just wanted to upload it so everyone could see how cute it turned out. This is actually a "quick page." Everything was done for me except I added the date tag and the circles at the top and the words "date night." I then figured out how to get Emma's picture into the frame and still have the flower in front of her. Yeah for me! I added my journaling and taa daa! I need to add a shadow to my circles so they look more 3-D. I just remembered that, but since it is 12:30 I think I'll wait until tomorrow morning! Two more days of Spring Break and then I'll have to start going to bed at 10:00 again. I can't pull these late nights and then get up and get everyone to school on time! Good night!

These pages came from the Shabby Princess Harvest kit as well as the kit, Birds the Word from Scrapbytes.com. Both kits are fabulous. The brown e and h came from Lindsay Jane Designs. They are from the basic brown alphabet. The raffia bow came from digitalscrapbooking.net from the English Toffee kit by Mindy Armour.

I'm working on some '07 fall pictures. Here is what I've done so far. I'm still working on perfecting the "torn paper" look, but this yellow paper is definitely an improvement.

Nothing really exciting happened today. We stayed in our pjs until around 10:00 at which time I exercised and the girls played on the swing set in the backyard. (I've got to get back on track with my exercise program because my friend Tracy and I bought season passes to Emerald Point water park. We plan on taking the kids there once a week this summer. Season passes were cheaper than any pool membership around and the girls will love the kiddie area of the water park so much more than a regular pool. Therefore, I've got to work out like it's my full-time job if I'm going to put a bathing suit on anytime soon!)

We then ate lunch and went to Chuckie Cheese. We went to Once Upon a Child (A local children's consignment shop) and got some nice things. I was shocked at how much we got and only spent $60.00. Tomorrow we are going to the library and Target and possibly the mall. The hard part about taking Emma to the mall is that she loves to shop! She always tries to hit me up to take her the Disney store and to Claire's. I told her we could go to play at the indoor playground at the mall and maybe get a cookie or other treat but no shopping, and she whined about it....so I think I might save the drama and just take her to Wal-Mart or Target and to the library. I promised her we would go to Wal-Mart to try to replace the prize she won at Chuckie Cheese today. She left it at the consignment store and it never even made it home to be played with. It was one of those sticky hands that you throw on your wall and it sticks and walks down the wall. Hopefully Wal-Mart will have something similar because I'm not driving all the way back over to Chuckie Cheese and paying WAY TOO much for a sticky hand!

Here are the posed rain shots I took of the girls this week. Emma's preschool needed a rainy day picture for something they are doing in April, so we took some pictures of the girls in their rain gear. For those of you that know Emma very well, you know she picked out the jean skirt. She would wear it every day if I let her! She never would give me a great smile so if it rains tomorrow and Friday like it is supposed to, I might try again.

Here are some action shots of the girls playing with playdough at the art table yesterday. Last night before Emma went to bed she came down to the office where I was and asked me to get the playdough basket down for her. I asked her why and then I saw that she held two perfectly cut playdough stars in her hand. She told me she had put them in her Dora kitchen to bake earlier in the day and she needed to put them back in the can now. I told her they were probably a little burnt if they had been in her oven for 8 hours! She got tickeled at that and came over and gave me a great big hug!

Okay, here is my last picture of the week. The girls share a room and Hannah's bed has a trundle bed underneath. Hannah sleeps up top and Emma at the bottom. This week as I was going to bed I went in to check on them like I always do and this is what I found. Hannah had crawled down in bed with Emma. I thought it was so sweet that I risked taking a flash picture in their room at 11:30 pm to capture my two sleeping beauties. I don't know if you can tell but Emma's right arm is tucked under Hannah's left arm. When I first went in the room she was holding Hannah's hand. When I went back down the hall to get the camera, Hannah stirred a little bit and they weren't holding hands when I got back. I hate I missed it. It was a precious sight. (Please disregard their mismatched bed sheets and covers. During the day the trundle is neatly put away and all of the pottery barn matching bedding shows but at night the good ole' Sesame Street comforter that I had as a kid comes out along with the High School Musical sheets and pillows!)

Wow, this is such a great post! I love the picture of the girls sleeping!

I hope ya'll have a great day at the library, Target (my personal favorite) and maybe the mall. Emma is a girl after my own heart! I love the mall, but I like to shop if I go too :)

Too bad we don't live closer I need motivation to exercise too! The water park might do it for me too!
