New Update

Joe did Carter's 5:00 feeding and he only ate 28 ccs of milk. Based on his weight, they want him to eat around 70 ccs. As Joe was getting ready to leave the surgical resident (whom I haven't been overly impressed with) came in to see Carter. Joe asked about her concern over his feedings. She implied that they would put a feeding tube in Carter if he didn't eat more. We don't know if this is accurate or not. We are waiting to hear it from the head surgeon tomorrow morning. PLEASE pray that Carter increases his feedings. We are so tired of him being away and the thought of a feeding tube is horrendous.

To make matters worse, Hannah came home sick from school today with a fever and vomiting. So, since I have been caring for her, I can no longer go to the hospital to visit Carter. Joe is spending the night at the hospital so that he isn't exposed to Hannah's germs, so at least one of us can be with Carter and feed him. Please pray Hannah's bug is a short-lived 24 hour bug so I can see Carter soon. I don't know how many more sick children I can handle. Two is two too many!
