Carter

We had a great day with Carter. He was much calmer than yesterday. He rested well and wasn't fussy at all when he was awake. Yesterday he was either in a lot of pain or very hungry because he couldn't be comforted a lot of the time. He was a different child today. They turned off the suction to his stomach pump. The tube is still there but it is draining on it's own instead of being suctioned. Very little came out of his stomach today. Please pray that all of that is being digested and isn't still sitting in his stomach since the suction has been off. He did have a messy diaper today, but they also gave him a dose of glycerin (in the bottom) to help him have a bowel movement. They are hoping to remove the tube tomorrow and start feeding him. Please pray that his stomach will completely wake up by tomorrow morning and that he will have messy diapers on his own and that the food or pedialyte they give him will stay down.

I have pictures to post of his day today, but they will have to wait until tomorrow. Thank you for your prayers. Please keep them coming. Tomorrow will be the real test to see if he is recovering as expected. Please pray they feed him, it stays down, and comes out!
