Hannah went back to the orthopedic doctor last week for another x-ray and a new cast. This one is much smaller and she has a little more mobility. She will have to be in this cast for three more weeks and then she will either get a forearm cast or a splint, like she had the first week. So, all in all she will have been casted for 8+ weeks before it is removed. She started with a splint the first week, a full arm cast for two weeks, this “munster” cast for 3 weeks, and a forearm cast or splint for 2-3 more. Bless her heart!
Here she is getting the new cast on. Emma jumped into the second shot and posed like Hannah. Emma is secretly jealous of Hannah’s cast. Hannah took her pink cast home with us and Emma keeps begging me to tape it on her arm. She wants in on the attention Hannah gets when we go out and everyone asks Hannah what happened to her arm. I wouldn’t be surprised if Emma dresses up for Halloween as a hospital patient with a hospital gown on and a cast! She loves the pink cast.
