I have some pictures to post but they will probably have to wait until after Hannah's birthday celebrations. I am still super busy trying to keep up with orders while sewing, crafting and baking for her party! I just wanted to write down this story before I forgot it!
This morning the girls and I were lounging around on the sofa while we waited for Carter to get up. We were talking about lots of things, Hannah's new gymnastics class (which she adores!), Emma's new surprise (which we will unveil as soon as I have time to photograph it!), the end of summer, the beginning of school and lots of stuff in between. During our discussion of school Emma started talking about riding the school bus. She said, "I've never ridden on the morning bus before." To which Hannah replied, "Well Emma, you've never ridden on the afternoon bus either!" (Leave it to my little comedian to see the irony in Emma's statement!) Is irony the word I'm looking for? Anyway, Hannah cracked on Emma about never being on ANY bus at all. Emma then asked if they could ride the morning and afternoon bus this year. I explained that I liked taking them to school and I would pick them up too but Carter is usually asleep during their afternoon dismissal time. Therefore, they would only ride the afternoon bus. Hannah interjected, "Yes, this way we have more time to spend together and we can talk and pray in the car together on the way to school." It was so special hearing her iterate that she would miss the time praying together in the car on the way to school each morning. To that comment Emma was quick to reply, "Well Hannah, we CAN pray in our HOUSE before we get on the bus!" Too sweet! Emma knew that prayer can be done anywhere, anytime and Hannah was concerned over missing our morning prayer time before school. For this, I am so thankful.

I am thankfrul for a wonderful daughter who has taught her children the importance of prayer anytime. God bless you today Jenny and grant you time, energy, and wisdom to get all your work done. MOM loves you.
i hope i am half the mom you are.
This prayer habit you've started is so wonderful! When I took Hannah to school right after Carter was born...she told me about it....I think so that we could also pray together on the ride to school.
