She wanted a picture of her backpack!

Outside of her classroom
At her table ready for her first day!
Please continue to pray for Hannah. She had a hard time going to school this morning. Because we took Emma to her class first, Hannah was a little late getting to her class. Hannah likes to be the first child in her class, she is an early bird. Coming late STRESSED her out. She has NEVER been late to school. She started panicking in the hallway. "I'll have to do my morning work at lunch. I'll be punished. It's only the third day of school and I'll have to do my morning work at lunch. I don't want to do my work at lunch. I have to go home." She begged me to take her home. She physically wrapped her body around mine outside of her classroom telling me she couldn't go to school. I am so sorry she was late for class. We should have gotten up even earlier than we did. Hannah started her day worried and frenzied and I regret that. Pray that she settled down and her teacher gave her grace with the morning work. We told the teacher that she was late (by 30 seconds) because she had to drop her younger sister off for her first day of kindergarten. Keep praying for Hannah. She has always struggled with liking school. She goes, she does well, she's smart as a tack but she doesn't really enjoy it. Pray that she has fabulous teachers this year that make her fall in love with school. Pray for Emma. She was excited today but I pray her day is fantastic so she stays excited and doesn't worry about going back tomorrow! Pray I don't go crazy in this house without them. It seems I've always had two children at home. I've had Hannah to play with Emma since Hannah was 18 months old. I've never been the only one home to entertain a child and occupy his/her time for the entire day. We always had lots of noise and laughter. Pray for Carter and I as we start our life of "Just the two of us!" I have lots of work to catch up in the office so this week and next will probably be filled with business but after that I'm not sure what Carter and I will do all day together! We can't sit in this empty quiet house all day, that is for sure. It seems sad. Just like Emma said yesterday. "A house with no sound is a sad sound." So, pray for all of us. This is a new chapter and I know it will be great but it is different and right now different doesn't seem like that much fun!

Hey Emma and Hannah, Memhaw wants to hear about your new school year. How much fun is it? New friends, bookbags, new crayons--I still remember getting a new box of crayons for school--that was so much fun. Hannah, were you able to keep you xoxoxo rock with you? Maybe you could take one of the rocks that you got for your birthday and make that your new courageous rock. Emma, I can't see the pictures of your first day here on my computer at school but I know I will love to see your cute fact when I get home. Memhaw loves both of you girls very, very, much. Kiss sweet brother for me! Love, Memhaw
