Birthday, Birthday, and More Birthday Pictures

We celebrated Hannah's birthday all weekend. On Thursday, the 13th, her actual birthday we began the day at Chick-fil-a for breakfast with Tracy, Trent and Brooklyn.

Later that evening, we went to our favorite Mexican restaurant (per Hannah's request) to eat dinner before her family party. After dinner MeMaw, Aunt Carol and Bella, Aunt Bobbie, and Auntie Catherine and Rodney came over for dessert and coffee and we celebrated together.

Chocolate cupcakes filled with chocolate ganache and strawberries, glazed with chocolate ganache and iced with buttercream frosting and finished off with a strawberry! YUMMY is all I can say about that. Find the recipe

I wanted to do something more creative than this, but time ran out. I was going to print a poster, but I lost my digital copies of her 4 year old party when my last computer died. So, I just placed pictures from all of her past birthdays for everyone to see.
On Friday we had 9 girls over for a slumber party! They arrived at 5 and played outside until 6. We ate pizza and veggies and cheese doodles at 6:00. They played outside some more, then we did sugar art (like sand art but with colored sugars.) We came inside and did presents and cupcakes and ice cream around 7:00. At 7:30 we went to the "party room" and hung out doing our nails, making bracelets and watching movies! Saturday morning we had belgian waffles with chocolate chips and whipped cream, along with fruit and then we played outside until parents arrived.

Our Party Table. Before the movie we painted nails, put on tatoos, gave the girls a Hannah Montana headband, put on lipstick, did a slumber party word search, made a beaded bracelet, passed out glow sticks and everyone signed the Sleepover Friends pillowcase for Hannah.

Emma is in the red and white sleeping bag, already asleep at 9:30. She is just like me, turn the lights down, get comfy, go to sleep before the movie previews even finish!

The next day we did our birthday tradition of measuring the girls on the big ruler. The girls' birthdays are 6 months apart, so we always measure them on each of their birthdays. This was Carter's first year on the ruler! Joe is the measuring man. He takes the measurements and records them each year. The girls love this tradition.

This all looks so wonderful! I love Hannah's birthday shirt! The nightgowns and dolls are too die for. Did you make the dolls? I think I need to learn to sew! And all the decorations are fabulous! Could you tell the cupcakes were frozen? I did decide to go ahead and order Landree's cupcakes-actually my mom persuaded me. She even offered to pay for them. She doesn't want me going into labor early :) Looks like a fabulous weekend! Happy birthday Hannah!
