Two Funny Girls

Here are two quick funny stories from the past couple of days. On Monday Emma and I were returning some things to the library. As we got out of the car two Army cadets were getting out of their car. They were dressed in their camouflage uniforms. Emma proclaims, "Look Mom, two American Hunters." It was as if in her mind she knew two people wore camo: 1. American army personnel and 2. Hunters like Uncle Rodney. Her mind fused the two pieces of information and out came American Hunters! Let it be known that Emma now owns her own camouflage shirt that she can wear into the woods with Uncle Rodney when he puts out corn for the deers. Uncle even bought her her very own camouflage Easter basket that she will carry her own corn in. I can't wait to capture the two of them on film as they put out corn in their camo. I'm not sure Uncle Rodney wears his camouflage to put out corn, but we'll ask him to "suit up" for the picture!

Second funny story. Some friends gave us a baby sling for carrying Carter and it was made to fit my measurements. I was carrying Carter home from Catherine's this week and Hannah asked me if she could use the sling. I started explaining to her that it wouldn't fit her because it had been custom made to fit my body and that she wouldn't be able to use it to carry Carter. She told me, "No Mom, I don't won't to carry Carter in the sling. I want you to carry me!" Wouldn't that be a sight? Me carting my four foot six year old around in the baby sling. She's a mess!
