I am beginning to add some personalized children's items to my Etsy store. I will also list them for sale at our website soon. I started with Etsy because it was easy and I figured two stores is better than just one. I will be adding lots of my personalized shirts, bags, bibs, burp cloths and pacifier clips soon. I ordered a lot of great fabric tonight and can't wait to make more goodies. You can see the shirt and bag combo I made last week for sale at our new store, Sew Fabulous Boutique. The name of our store was taken from a comment Emma made to her friends at school last week. I made her a shirt with a cute little polka dotted and paisley bird on the front. When she got to school early, we were standing outside of the classroom waiting for her teachers. She started talking with her two best friends and showing them her shirt. She said, "My mom made me this bird shirt. Isn't it so fabulous?" I was thrilled she liked the shirt. I told my mom the story and told her I was thinking of a name like Sew Cute Boutique for our new line of children's products. She thought of the idea of naming it Sew Fabulous after Emma's comment. I think it is perfect! You can check us out here:

Jenny! This name is brilliant! I think you should TM it right away!!! All you have to do to do that is superscript TM above the name. That means "trademark pending." Then later on you can register the trademark with the govt and get a R with a circle around it for a registered trademark. (Then you use the R rather than the TM). You might want to check out the govt's trademark website where you can check to see if SF or SFB is already trademarked. This is the site we used at C-D to check trademarks: http://tess2.uspto.gov/bin/gate.exe?f=tess&state=4007:d17kga.1.1 Double check me on this, but I THINK putting the TM there is free and it protects you from anyone else using it.
Congrats on your new adventure! Can't wait to see all of your products.
