Two Cutie Pies!

So, these pictures weren't actually taken at a Fall/Halloween party...they were at our neighbor's birthday party last week. But, I thought they would look cute using a Halloween themed kit. The girls had their faces painted at the party and they decorated masks. I'm not sure if you can read Emma's forehead (headfore, according to Emma) but she had her name plastered across her face...lest anyone forget who she was! They had a great time playing with the neighbors at the party. They are really developing some good friendships with the neighborhood kids. They love playing with them and we have been to three birthday parties lately and one is coming up in a few weeks.

Here is a funny quote from Emma. I really need to carry a journal with me at all times, because I forget 99% of the cute things they say. Here is one from dinner last night. Emma looks at the sweet potato on her plate and grimaces. She explains to us that she no longer likes sweet potatoes, she only likes unsweet. (I think she has heard me order unsweet tea too many times. She now refers to white russet potatoes as the unsweet potatoes!) Everything this child says keeps us in stitches. Hannah amazes us with her intelligence and insight while Emma keeps us in tears with her humor. It is amazing the differences in two precious children. We love them so much for who they are and for their individuality. I will make a point to notice something amazing about Hannah this week, because I feel I am always writing about Emma's crazy humor.

Hannah is so excited that we pre-ordered High School Musical 3 movie tickets yesterday. It opens October 24th and we pre-ordered tickets yesterday for the opening night. She is inviting a friend home from school to go with us to see the movie and have a sleepover. Is Hannah really old enough to have sleepovers? I haven't heard back from the mom yet to see if her daughter is comfortable sleeping over yet, but if so, we will have our first official girly sleepover party next month. Hannah hugged and kissed me a million times because she was so excited. It's amazing what 5 movie tickets and the promise of a sleepover can bring you...cuddles and kisses! I'll take it! I'm sure Joe is super excited to leave work early to come home to escort us girls to the movie theater. He has to be included in our fun. The last time HSM 2 came on the Disney channel, Hannah invited Auntie Catherine and MeMaw over for a sleepover/movie date night. Hannah wanted everyone to share in the excitement! So, girls, you got off the hook this time..we're having a six year old sleepover! I think I might prefer the family sleepover after this one, but none-the-less Hannah is over the moon with excitement!

I am more than certain that a girly 6 year-old party will be more fun than having Memaw sleep over. I think I fell asleep half way through HSM 2. Hannah, have a great time and don't be surprised if I crash your party! Love, Memaw
