Also this week Hannah told me a story about a friend in the neighborhood that she loves dearly but was getting on her nerves! She said that every time she would tell a story about something fun she had done or somewhere fun she had gone, this little girl would lie and say, "Oh yeah, remember Hannah I've been there too or I was there with you." (Even though she wasn't with us.) Hannah told me, "You know mom, she should just tell all the neighborhood kids the truth. We like her the way she is and she doesn't have to lie to get us to like her." I thought that was wise beyond her years. Little by little it is so much fun to see the truths that you try to instill in your children evidencing themselves in their lives.
Another wise and funny Hannah story came yesterday when the two of us were sitting alone in the doctor's office. She was there for her yearly check up and awaiting the dreaded shots. She got two yesterday. As we were sitting there she was very nervous and on the verge of tears because of the anticipation of the pain to come. She told me as we sat there that she wished there was no devil because if he had not tried to be bigger and better than God he could have been a nice angel in heaven and he wouldn't have been kicked out. If he wasn't here making the world bad there would be no sicknesses and there would be no need for shots and the world would be perfect.....and she wouldn't have to do any chores! (I'm not sure where that came from, but I guess in the mind of a six year old, a perfect world contains no chores! I know cleaning is definitely something I won't be doing in my mansion either!)
The last funny story of the day comes from Emma. Hannah is very shy around everyone about taking her clothes off. She doesn't like anyone to see her naked so going to the doctor is a big deal when it comes to stripping down. Emma knows this about her and on the way out the door to the doctor's office she says to Hannah, "I hope you get a girl doctor, Hannah." "Mommy, did you order her a girl?"As if I was going through McDonald's and ordering up a girl doctor. Her choice of words totally crack me up. On the way to Carowinds she told us all, "I am totally going to ride all the rides today." Hearing her little four year voice say totally is too cute! She is our dramatic one!
So, here are some pictures of the day. I haven't doctored them up yet, they are straight from the camera, but you can still see the fun! The girls and Joe had fun riding all the rides while I sat on the sidelines in the 95 degree weather. Even the kiddie rides said no pregnant women. Luckily I don't look very pregnant so I did ride a few safe rides, but mostly I sat and waited. Tons of fun! If you click on the pictures they will enlarge and you can see the expressions on their faces much better!

Firstly, (I think that is correct), I think the pictures are terrific. I can't see where you would impove them. I love the first one where you know in a few seconds, they will be hit with a spray of water.
Secondly, I am so proud of my granddaughters (what a great name for those two girls--they are indeed "GRAND." They are wise beyond their years in spiritual matters.
Thirdly, they are wise beyond their years, because of Godly parents like you and Joe.
Father God, I thank you at this moment for my daughter, son-in-law, and my 2 1/2 grandchildren. Thanks you for their lives, their walk and love for You.
Love, MOM
