We’ve had the best day. We have about 8 inches of snow and it has been beautiful to watch fall and fun to play in. We started the morning with hot blueberry muffins. The girls then went sledding with Joe in our yard. Carter and I cleaned up a little and did laundry. The girls came in for a hot bath and hot chocolate and we had homemade chicken noodle soup for lunch. We made snow cream and the girls went sledding two more times before dinner. Now they are playing their new Super Mario Brothers 3 Wii game. It was going to be a gift for them next week at Carter’s birthday party but Joe and I gave it to them early. If we are stuck in the house for a week, then at least we have a new game to play!
It is hard work dressing and undressing the girls three times in one day. I’m beat! I can’t imagine how much work it will be when there are three snowy, wet, cold Edgerton children to bundle and unbundle! Carter went for a quick sled ride up to Auntie and Uncle’s house. He didn’t care for it very much. It is just too blasted cold outside! The news is saying there is a chance of another possible snow storm on Tuesday and Friday of this coming week. So, we might be snowed in for quite some time. This will be fantastic, as long as Joe is snowed in with us. If he goes back to work and I have to battle tights, socks, pants, turtlenecks, shirts, sweatshirts, coats, scarves, hats, gloves, snow boots and coats all by myself, I might need to hire an assistant! Here is our fireplace tonight. All loaded up with snow gear, drying for tomorrow. That is only about 1/4 of their winter paraphernalia. The other 3/4 is in the dryer.
