We went to the beach with the Rees family for 10 days over Spring Break. It was such a great trip. It would have been perfect if it hadn’t been so stinkin’ cold the entire week. The kids played on the beach every day but a lot of the week we were in sweatshirts and jeans. We stay in a friend of Lori’s beachfront five bedroom house. It was so nice. The girls roomed with Callie in their own bedroom. Dylan and Carter share a room and all the adults have their own bedroom. The best part is that Lori’s friend rents it to us for $100.00 a night. We LOVE it there. I hope the kids can continue to grow up going to the beach together and making such fabulous memories with their best friends.
Carter watching tadpoles at the aquarium. He was fascinated with the fish and especially the HUGE shark tank.
We went out on the jetty at Fort Macon and the wind was so strong I thought we might blow off into the ocean. The pictures are horrible because you could hardly open your eyes in the wind and our hair was all over the place. The kids were in flip flops. I made them take them off to climb because I thought they might slip off and blow away into the ocean. (The kids, not the flip flops!)
Being buried alive by Thomas and Dave. Look how cold they look and Hannah didn’t even have her fleece on. BURR!
The boys seemed to always be sharing this seat. Too cute!
Our last day there was the warmest. We could have actually had on our bathing suits and enjoyed the sun if we had been able to stay. Oh well, there’s always next year!
She’ll regret this picture in a few years!
One final swing on the porch swing, eating fun dip outside while we packed up the cars.
Headed home with smiles, great memories and lots of stuff to unpack when we get home…
