We enjoyed a fabulous five day beach trip with friends after school started this year. The house my friend rents from her friends wasn’t available until mid-September so we took the girls out of school for a few days and enjoyed one last romp in the sun. The weather wasn’t perfect but it was warm enough every day to get in the ocean and play in the sand for most of the day. We went for late night walks on the beach with flashlights to see crabs and collect shells. The kids flew kites, went fishing, made huge sand castles, drank hot cocoa and made smores. It was the perfect trip. We cooked so much good food. We read books and relaxed in the hot tub. The girls and their best friend Callie had the whole upstairs to themselves. They had their own bedroom and bathroom and tv/dvd. They were in heaven. They danced, watched movies and giggled and made memories in their “princess palace” upstairs. Every morning we had to go up and do damage control. We had to refold their entire wardrobe (from playing dress up ALL the TIME!) We had to tidy up the Barbies and toys etc. Because it was always a mess! They had a blast. We went with four of our dear friends and their children. It was a fantastic trip and we can’t wait to do it again. The only sad part was that my camera wouldn’t cooperate for beach pictures. The inside lens kept fogging up and I couldn’t take a single good picture. I used Hannah’s camera for a few shots. But other than these I don’t have many good shots. I have to figure out what to do about that before our next trip!
