In October, Hannah’s class got to dress up like a storybook character. We chose Camilla Cream from A Bad Case of the Stripes. We love this story and I thought it would make an adorable, easy, handmade costume. We bought face paint and painted Hannah’s face and neck with stripes. I bought adult sized striped rainbow socks and cut out the feet and sewed them into a white t-shirt so it looked like her arms were striped. We also bought striped adult knee socks and she pulled them up high on her legs over her leggings to make her legs appear striped as well. She was definitely the best storybook character in all of 3rd grade. She had a black wig and striped headband too. She turned lots of heads that day and the kids in her class said they hardly recognized her with the black wig and striped face. She was a hit!
