We had so much fun Friday night with our neighbors. We took the kids to a twilight candy hunt. Our local Parks and Recreation department hosted it at a near by park. All of our children ages 7 and under hunted for candy together and it was so cute! It started at 6:45 so it wasn't completely dark, and they didn't need their flashlights. The kids were glad it was still a bit light out because they could use both hands for grabbing up their candy!
The parks and recreation dept. basically threw out lots of bags of candy onto a ball field and on go the kids raced onto the field and filled their treat bags with candy. Two of the bags of candy were marked WINNER and the children that found the special bags won a pumpkin filled with bug candy and bug rings. Emma was one of the two winners and she is over the top about being in the newspaper this week!
We had a busy weekend with the candy hunt, pumpkin carving and a trip to the mountains. More on our fun weekend to come!
