Hemophilia Walk 2009

This past weekend we met the family in Raleigh for a long weekend to participate in the Hemophilia Walk in honor of sweet Kathryn.

When we got to the hotel all the kids went swimming. The water was pretty cold, so the adults sat out. After our afternoon swim we all went to Carrabba's for dinner. Saturday we got up and ate the "free" hotel breakfast as our girls referred to it and then went to the walk.

At the walk, they got their faces painted.

This was a familiar scene for most of the weekend. Abbey and Emma hip to hip and Hannah tagging along with Luke. They were so sweet to one another. They played all weekend long and had so much fun spending time with one another.

Saturday afternoon the kids swam again and napped!

Saturday night we hung out together in one of the hotel conference rooms and ate pizza and salad and played games. The kids were so good. We had 8 month olds up to 8th grade and they all were angels.

Carter sat and entertained himself with toys. Of course he got lots of attention from everyone but when he wasn't being loved on, he sat and played.

Emma and Abbey literally played with playdough for over two hours. They giggled and talked and giggled and talked and shaped playdough all night. They were soooo sweet!

The night ended like this.

When Carter gets sleepy he starts dishing out the kisses. It is SO sweet and funny! You know Carter is tired when he starts laying them on you!

We had a fabulous time with all of our PA family. We just don't like the reason behind our gathering. Sweet Kathryn, who will be three in December has a form of Hemophilia called Von Willebrand (I think that is the name.) Her blood does not clot properly when she has a cut or scratch. She ususally ends up in the hospital getting blod clotting medication to help control the bleeding. Please pray for her healing. If you would like to donate to the NC chapter of the Hemophilia Foundation, please visit Kitty Kat Kathryn's team page here.
