Watch out for men in boots...

Today we were leaving to go to the craft store and the girls were playing in the van while they waited for me to get Carter ready to go. I told them it wasn't safe to be in the car without me and not to get in until it was time to go. This led to a discussion about burglars. I have no idea why. Emma said something about staying safe and always locking the windows because bad guys come at night so they won't get caught...but the bad guys come out during the day when they rob the bank....and bad guys wear boots, not sneakers or high heels, so watch out for men in boots and lock the windows.

All of that because I said, "Don't play in the van!"
