Mrs. Royals, Hannah's first grade assistant, LOVED Hannah. She was so good to Hannah and loved on her every day. I'm sure she is a big reason Hannah went to school each morning. Hannah looked forward to seeing Mrs. Royals and the laughter that she brought to the classroom.

Mrs. Pegram, Hannah's first grade teacher, taught her MAD reading and math skills. Hannah is much wiser, having been in her class. Hannah loved her too. She was laid back and funny, just like Mrs. Royals. They made a great team.

Notice the pearls? On her own volition, Hannah chose to wear her pearls to her awards ceremony. I'm not sure if she was aware that many female graduates wear pearls with their cap and gown, but she sure was classy in her plastic pearls!

I'm not sure how we got from kindergarten to first grade and soon to be second grade. It seems like yesterday that she started school. I know one day I'll be saying how did we get from kindergarten to high school graduation in such a short time? But even now I am aware of how fast the days go by. My beautiful Hannah is growing like a weed and I want to cherish every moment of her life; for one day that graduation cap will be real and my days with her at home will be numbered.

When I imagine
the life you will live,
I think of the pleasure
your presence will give.
I see the joy your smile will light
and the wonders you'll weave
when your dreams take flight.
I feel the hope
that will grow with your grace
and the difference you'll make
to each heart you embrace.
I imagine your life
as I know it will be;
for, my daughter, you've given
all this to me.
