So, we found this great site through my friend Jennifer's blog. I thought it was adorably cute and wanted to try her Cake Pops. Here are her rabbit cake pops that we tried to make! Ha!
Basically, you bake a cake, crumble it into a bowl, mix in almost one can of frosting and then roll your cake balls into the desired shape, dip in melted candy melts and decorate. Sounds easy enough, right? Wrong! Actually, the steps were very easy. It was making them look gorgeous like hers that was hard! My rabbits didn't look much different than the girls. They all looked "kid made" but it was a lot of fun! Here are pictures of our Rabbit Cake Pops. We couldn't find the pastel candy corn at the farmer's market so we settled for candy coated almonds for the ears. We used sparkly sprinkles for the blue eyes and candy confetti circles for the mouths. I didn't want to spend 16.00 for the set of cake decorating markers for the mouths, so we used cheap decorating gel that looked goofy! Oh, well! It was our first attempt and the girls thought it was pretty amazing, eating cake on a lollipop stick! It was a fun way to start Spring Break.
Papa took the girls to Build a Bear over spring break and then Cousin Beth came to visit. They had a great time spending time with everyone and playing with their new bears. They dressed them up and played all afternoon until Beth came over. This morning we went to a new bounce house in town that is sooooo cheap! I love the price and the girls love the LONG time they get to jump versus other bounce places that have a very limited time for a lot more dough! We hope they stay in business because it was well worth the $7.50.

Yours are cutest!
As I was reading your post, I had my own cake balls in the fridge (how funny). I was planning on making the little chicks for my daughters class. Not gonna happen! I could not get those baby chicks smooth at all. Although they tasted good, they looked a little sad. Needless to say, I changed plans and now she will be taking molded easter pops to school!
