Carter turns three months!

I got my camera back today. Carter turned 3 months old yesterday, so I plan on taking a picture of him after nap. It will be a day late, but actually it will be okay because he has broken out in a rash all over his face due to a milk allergy. I switched his formula last week and apparantly all formula is not created equally. He has to have lactose free formula because regular formula upsets his stomach. I tried the Target brand of lactose free and apparantly it is not created equally to Similac. He got a rash all over his face and neck and his doctor's office confirmed that it is probably an allergic reaction to the milk protein. So, we're putting him back on soy formula for the time being and hopefully we'll be able to gradually introduce the Similac sensitive again once this clears up. He already looks tons better today after being off the Target stuff for just 24 hours. I'm still trying to nurse him but have "quit" several times. I get so frustrated with how hard it is for me to make even the tiniest amount of milk that I had stopped all together for the past 2 days; that is until he broke out all over his face and scalp due to the formula. Then I got back on the band wagon again and now we're trying again. I know it seems like an odd request, but please pray that somehow God would intervene and help us in this situation. I'm on prescription medication, I drink water all day, I eat the right foods etc. and nothing seems to help. I don't want Carter to be on strictly formula for the next 8 months, so we're praying for some divine intervention here! He is so precious and I want what's best for him. Here is a sweet picture of him and Joe on Easter Sunday.

I have tons of Easter pictures still to sort through but here is Hannah's note to the Easter Bunny. I had to post it so I could remember it forever. I save all of her special things, but I want to document it in the blog book so I have it recorded here too. She left this for the Easter Bunny.

The top should read, "Keep on doing your Thing!" I have no idea where she came up with that! Notice she had put "God rose again on Sunday." Then she realized it was Jesus and marked out God. Too cute! As a former first grade teacher, I grimace that her handwriting isn't perfect, but her heart is so good that it makes up for it!

You have the sweetest girls! I love their note to the bunny :)

We'll be praying for your milk. I had several friends who had a hard time too. One of them drank this herbal tea. I'll ask her the name of it. Has pumping helped? I'm sure it will get better.

Cross shirts and notes for bunny are precious!!!

I will pray for "blessings of the breasts" for you. Here's a verse we can stand on.

...the God of thy father, who shall help thee; and by the Almighty, who shall bless thee, with blessings of heaven above, blessings of the deep that lieth under, blessings of the breasts, and of the womb. Genesis 49:25

Also, I think it is Fenugreek tea which is supposed to be super for increasing milk flow. The Only Earth sells it...plus some other concotions by Traditional Medicinals...but I THINK Fenugreek is the basis for all of them.

I was with a young nursing woman yesterday (Lindsey Broer) don't know if you know her...anyway, she said that beer was supposed to help a lot in milk flow. She said it leaves the system fast and you only have to wait an hour or two before nursing. Might want to double check this first if you want to try it.
