Christmas tree decorating

Since I have been sick for the past 2-3 days I have no new pictures to share. So, I'll post a few of the girls decorating the Christmas tree. They aren't very exciting. We didn't dress up in any cute Christmas clothes or fix our hair. These are just real life! The girls and I actually decorated it without Joe. Joe never really puts ornaments on anyway. His job is to put all the hooks on and hand the ornaments to us! So, after the girls got home from school we put on some Christmas music and did it ourselves. We did it early because the girls wanted Joe to spend his time that evening putting up the icicle lights on the porch. Well, he tried but half of our lights wouldn't work! I was so disappointed but not disappointed enough to buy new ones. I didn't want to spend the money it would take to replace all of them. I was afraid if we just replaced the strand that was not working, they wouldn't look like/hang right/be identical to like the old ones. So, I'm waiting to get some half price after Christmas!

Here are our "real life" Christmas tree decorating girls. One in a purple sweater and one in a pink Steelers jersey. (Clothes they picked out that day...I would have chosen Christmas attire, but sometimes you have to pick your battles!) (Actually, I took a few of Emma in her pjs. She started that morning before school because she was so anxious.)

Emma SO SO SO wanted to put the snowflake on top. She said since she couldn't reach it, she would run and jump on the ottomon and leap to the top. Wouldn't that have been a pretty picture! She couldn't understand why we wouldn't let her try!

The finished tree (after I moved a few around.) They had about 20 too many hanging from the bottom branches because those were the easiest to reach!

I won't show Jeff these pictures since Hannah is wearing that shirt. Looks like fun though. The tree is beautiful!

Jennifer--
Uncle Scott has the same job that Joe does in decorating the tree. We are enjoying this website so much.
