Memorial Day

I hope you had a fabulous Memorial Day weekend.  We had a quick overnight trip to visit Steve and Sue and the kids.  It was great being back in Columbia and seeing them.  Seth and Jenna have GROWN UP since we last saw them and they are precious.  (Is it okay to call a sophomore in high school precious??  :) I think so, when he’s as cute, brilliant and funny as Seth! Jenna is adorable and has such a sweet personality.  It’s hard to believe she was Hannah’s age the last time we saw her!  She is beautiful and charming and we miss living close to them.   We are so proud of the young adults/teens they are growing up to be.

Sunday we spent our first day at the pool and it was fabulous.  Carter splashed right along with the girls for FOUR hours.  He loved being in the water with Daddy and he loved sitting on the side of the pool, people watching with Mommy!  It was so much fun.  We are sad that we have two more weeks of school before we can enjoy it again!  (This weekend is recital weekend and we won’t be able to go on Friday and Saturday.  Sad!)  Yesterday, Joe had to work so Catherine and I took the girls for pedicures and then we attempted the pool until the bottom fell out and it rained all afternoon.  The girls only had about 30 minutes in the water before the rain came and they were very sad.  We had a cookout at Cat and Rodney’s and ended the day with a flag cake like Mom used to make.
