At the end of a long day of playing in the snow Emma begged us to take the girls sledding one last time. We had not been to the big hill that day and Emma wanted to go because she had missed out the day before. So the four of us went sledding. The girls had soaked all of their snow clothes so they put on some crazy clothes and headed to the hill. Hannah loves this purple crazy hat she is wearing. It is a size 18-24 month. We’ve had it forever and she still sports it at 7 years old even though we have a basket full of winter hats! Emma said her snow boots were getting too tight, so she wore pink cowboy boots! Hannah’s snow boots were snow-covered and cold, so she wore tennis shoes. Joe gave me his boots because I don’t have any and he wore tennis shoes. We look ill-prepared for the weather but we just went for 30 minutes or so and enjoyed some last minute sledding before the sun went down. We LAUGHED and LAUGHED and LAUGHED at one another. Emma is definitely the adventuresome spirit of the four of us. She is just too young to realize danger I guess! She constantly wanted to reinvent the way she was sledding. She went backwards once, she went through the weeds MANY times and on purpose, she wanted to run from the top of the hill and jump onto the sled, and she wanted all four of us to squeeze onto a 3 foot sled at the same time. She was so excited when it was her turn, she would run down the hill, get the sled from Hannah and race back up to the top of the hill. She couldn’t stand to wait for Hannah to bring it back to her. We crashed A LOT! We laughed A LOT and we had A LOT of snow day fun!

Emma sounds like Jenna - everything is full speed ahead! Scary what the two of them might get into if together for very long!
